Parades....Characters....and Walt Disney World

Most of my clients are most concerned when trying to decide if they will postpone their vacations to 2021 are worried about masks, parades, and characters.
Masks are currently required to be be worn at Walt Disney World, including children. Will you have to wear a mast later in the year or in 2021? There is no way to know as this is driven by health officials in conjunction with Disney's management team.
But what about parades and character meet and greets? As you may have heard, there are no parades and characters at Walt Disney World! That said, I feel Disney has come up with fun alternatives! Are they as magnificent as parades, fireworks, and hugging your favorite characters....probably not, but given the status of covid and extreme care for guests and employees, Disney came up with some fantastic alternatives!
For example, look up above the train station once you enter the park and you may see the princess or even Mickey and Minnie! Random characters have been spotted walking the streets. Characters have even been spotted on boats in waterways!
Replacing parades are cavalcades throughout the park at random times. Times are not shared so people don't line up the street and form crowds. Cavalcades may include floats with characters, dancers, even Merida riding a horse!
So while there are many changes to Disney right now, Disney is doing their best to provide new opportunities to guests!
